Sydney's Iconic Landmarks

Sydney Harbour Bridge
Acclaimed as one of the most remarkable feats of bridge construction in the world at the time it was built, until recently the Sydney Harbour Bridge was the longest single span steel arch bridge in the world and is still in a general sense the largest. Since its completion in 1932, it has been an icon and an internationally recognised symbol of the the city of Sydney.
Sydney Opera House
The Sydney Opera House is one of the world's iconic buildings of the 20th century and one of the few buildings to be erected in that century that is instantly recognisable in just about every country in the world. That it has one of the most inadequate, ill-designed opera theatres every built is irrelevant to all but those who use if for the function it was built for.

Taronga Zoo, Mosman
Australia's most well known zoological gardens, it has a large collection of native and exotic animals all housed in picturesque surroundings with the unforgettable panoramic vistas of Sydney Harbour as its backdrop.
Bondi Beach
One of Australia's iconic beaches, Bondi Beach is a broad 1km long crescent shaped strip of golden sand. The surf and sand are just a stone's throw away from the dazzling array of trendy restaurants, cafes and hotels of Bondi's trendy beachside strip.

Sydney Harbour
Of all the major cities in the world, there is perhaps only Brazil's Rio de Janiero that has a natural harbour as iconic and spectacularly beautiful as Sydney. Many pockets of natural bushland are scattered around the harbour's 240 kilometres of shoreline, most are accessible by walking tracks, making the harbour foreshore a walkers' paradise.
Sydney Tower
Sydney Tower, located in the heart of the City of Sydney, 360 degree uninterrupted views of the harbour city. One of the tallest structures in the southern hemisphere, it is also ranked as one of the safest buildings in the world. The golden turret has a capacity of 960 persons and contains two levels of restaurants, a coffee lounge, as well an Observation Deck.
