Leura

Leura Cascades
Leura Cascades is a popular picnic area with a walk beside the rapids on Leura Falls Creek down to Bridal Veil Falls and Leura Falls. The Leura Cascades Circuit bushwalking track takes about 30 mins. to walk and is 2 km long. The Echo Point to Leura Cascades bushwalking track takes about 1 hr. 45 mins. to walk and is 2 km long.

Bridal Veil Falls
This falls are best viewed from the Govett's Leap Lookout is at the end of a well-signed spur road (aptly named Govett's Leap Road).

Katoomba

Katoomba Falls
A series of small waterfalls flow over rocks to the Katoomba Falls where it drops over 55 metres over the escarpment into the Jamison Valley. An Aboriginal word meaning 'shiny, tumbling waters' the Katoomba Falls are lit at night and can be seen from a number of vantage points on Reids Plateau, the Round Walk and the Sceniscender at Scenic World. Katoomba Falls can be viewed from the side, above and below. If you walk along Peckmans plateau from Bus Stop 10, 11 or 12 you will get views of both Katoomba cascades and the top of the falls. To see the Falls in full you will need to ride the Scenic Skyway or venture into the valley below to view the falls towering above you from the Federal Pass bushwalk. The Katoomba Kiosk to Katoomba Falls bushwalking track takes about 45 mins. to walk and is 2 km long. This is a excellent return walk, starting from the Katoomba kiosk and winding down to the Furber Steps, where it continues along a well signposted side track to the Katoomba Falls lookout.

Blackheath

Govetts Leap Falls
Govetts Leap Falls on Govetts Leap Brook plummets about 170 metres onto the broken rocks at the base of the cliff. A
walk starts from the spectacular Govetts Leap Lookout and wanders along the cliff tops, before dropping through a creek, to reach the much smaller Barrow lookout, with equally spectacular views. Barrow lookout provides the bonus of clear views of the falls. You can also see the face of the cliffs below the Leap from this lookout.

Beauchamp Falls
North of the highway at Blackheath, superb views of the Grose Valley and great walks to Neates Glen, the Grand Canyon and Beauchamp Falls are accessed from the end of Evans Lookout Road.
Off this road is Walls Cave Road which leads to the magnificent beauty spot of Walls Cave, occupied by Aboriginals at least 12,000 years ago.


Lawson-Hazelbrook

Frederica Falls
At the end of St Bernard’s Drive, Lawson, various walking tracks will lead you to some of Lawson’s natural beauty including Dantes Glen, Fairy Falls, St. Michaels Falls, Empire Pass, Echo Bluff and Frederica Falls within North Lawson Park.

Junction Falls
From Honour Avenue, Lawson, walking tracks lead to Adeline Falls, Junction Falls, Cataract Falls, Federal Falls and Leslie Falls as part of South Lawson Park.

Oaklands Falls
Some of the Mountains most beautiful waterfalls and cataracts are to be found in the Hazelbrook-Lawson area; and the Old Baths, north of the highway at Hazelbrook, are believed to be on one of the explorers camping sites. It is near here - from Oaklands Road or Winbourne Road at Hazelbrook Creek Reserve - you can get access to Burgess, Lena, Lyre Bird, Oakland, Horseshoe and Glow Worm Nook Falls.

Terrace Falls
Terrace Falls Road takes you to those falls as well as to Victor Falls, while Woodbury St and Mountview Ave. lead to Mabel, Edith and Fairy Falls at Waterhouse Park.

Edith Falls


Lyrebird Glen
The town was named after Hazelbrook House, built in the 1870s by Bronte Noelle. Other attractions in the area include Terrace Falls, Victor Falls and Bedford Pool on the south side of the village, plus Lyre Bird Glen, Oaklands Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Burgess Falls on the north side.

Burgess Falls

Burgess Falls
At Bullaburra, which is Aboriginal for ‘Blue Sky’, access to Minnatonka Falls at Redburn Park is from De Quency Rd. Burgess Falls, Lena Falls, Lyre Bird Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Glow Worm Nook Falls can be accessed via Hazelbrook Creek Reserve.

Kurrajong

Bulcamatta Falls
The Bulcamatta Falls Track is an easy short (3 km return, 1 hr. return) walk from the Burralow Creek picnic and camping area. The track leads to a narrow gorge with the small waterfall at its head.

Wentworth Falls

Wentworth Falls
Wentworth Falls is probably the most stunning waterfall in the Blue Mountains. Having two sections falling from the top to a ledge half way down and then again to the very bottom of the valley, if there was no break, these falls would be the highest waterfall in the Blue Mountains. You can see the top half of the falls from Wentworth Falls Lookout at the end of Falls Road, or Princess Rock, a short walk from the car park however to really appreciate the Wentworth Falls region you should plan at least a few hours for bushwalking.

Sylvia Falls
A walk into the Blue Mountains National Park from the end of Fitzgerald Street at Wentworth Falls you can walk to Empress Falls, Sylvia Falls, Loader Falls, Valley of the Waters Picnic Area, Queen Victoria Lookout, Lyre Bird Lookout, Vera Falls as well as Flat Rock, Brittania and Red Rock Falls.

Queen's Cascades
Queen's Cascades are a lovely set of falls on the Jamison Creek at the top of Wentworth Falls. Wentworth Falls Reserve is the best departure point for Fletchers Lookout and Rocket Point Lookout, offering excellent views of the Kings Tableland escarpment, Wentworth Falls and Queens Cascades. Queens Cascades are on the National Pass.

Vera Falls
Vera Falls track is very much for experienced walkers, taking them to the end of the Valley of the Waters. Vera Falls is a spectacular waterfall that can be viewed from the top or bottom. Located in the Valley Of The Waters, near Wentworth Falls, the water falls from a rock platform above to the base, where the water cascades into the rock-filled pool at the bottom.

Hippocrene Falls
Hippocrene Falls track leads off the Vera Falls track. It is a 10 minute downhill walk to the pool at the base of the Hippocrene Falls.

Springwood

Clarinda Falls
Springwood is the Blue Mountains’ second largest town and provides some wonderful bushwalks to Upper Glenbrook Creek, Martins Lookout, Blue Pool and Sassafras Gully. Waterfalls in the area include - Clarinda, Magdala and Martina Falls at Sassafras Gully. Clarinda Falls flows over Clarinda Falls. The falls are found in a magnificent eroded bowl covered in ferns and moss. After heavy rain, it an amazing site. Access from Farm Rd, Springwood.

Kanangra-Boyd NP


Kanangra Falls

Thurat and Kanangra Falls
Kanangra Walls to Katoomba is one of the most spectacular walks in the Blue Mountains.  The walk crosses two National Parks (Kanangra-Boyd and Blue Mountains). It is a clifftop walk, and t
he views along the tops are spectacular and many:  Kanangra, Kalang and Thurat Walls, Thurat Spires, along Kanangra Gorge to the Coxs River, Mt. Cloudmaker, south to Mt. Colong and the Blue Breaks.  The list just goes on. The walk commences from Kanangra Car Park.


Kalang Falls

Margaret Falls
With its 100 metre plunge into the depths of Dione Dell Canyon, Margaret Falls is the most spectacular of the many waterfalls in Kanangra-Boyd National Park. Dione Dell, located near the famous Kanangra Walls, is two hours drive from Katoomba.

Wollemi NP

Bungleboori Falls
There are numerous canyons in the Bungleboori region in the Wollemi National Park. By nature of the landscape, there are many waterfalls in these canyons, most of which are unnamed. the canyons are popular among canyoners. Canyons can be found in the Wollemi, Kanangra Boyd, Blue Mountains National Parks, and the Newnes State Forest. See Newnes Plateau Short Walks (PDF).

Wolgan Falls
Situated in the Newnes Plateau area, navigation skills are needed to get to near the falls (approximately 1.5km) where there are great views over pagoda formations and glimpses of the falls. Scrambling is needed to get down to the edge for a good view of the falls. See Newnes Plateau Short Walks (PDF).

Megalong Valley

Galong Creek Falls
There are many creeks which drain into the Megalong Valley, and many enter the valley via waterfalls. Galong Creek Falls is in a granite canyon through which the creek flows. As with most falls in the valley, access and navigation is difficult and should only be attempted by experienced bushwalkers.

Mt. Victoria

Victoria Falls
These falls are at Mount Victoria, which is the highest town in the Blue Mountains. The falls lookout offers commandings view over Victoria Creek, the Upper Grose Valley towards Asgard Head, Birrabang Walls and Burra Korain Head. Nearby are Silver Cascades, a set of wide attractive falls that tumble down a stepped rock face into a large pool.
