Small town on the Mullewa Highway (known as the Wildflower Way) which lies on the fringes of the Murchison Goldfields. To the town's east and south east are many salt lakes as well as mineral rich soils which still attract many fossickers looking for gemstones.
Location: 352 km north of Perth
Origin of name: of Aboriginal origin.
Natural features: Weelhamby Lake; Mongers Lake; Lake Moore; Lake de Courcy; Lake Hillman; Lake O'Grady; Lake Harvey; Mollerin Lake.
Built features: numerous old gold mining ghost towns such as Payne's Find, Rothsay, Warriedar and Crows Nest lie to the east of Perenjori.
Heritage features: Aboriginal stone formations at Damperwah Soak (40 km north east).
