Region: Peel - Harvey - Leschenault

No matter what kind of getaway you enjoy, short stay or day trip, the Mandurah and Peel Region provides 5,600 square kilometres of felaxation and enjoyment right on Perth's doorstep.

With waterways twice the size of Sydney Harbour, the region offers an extensive range of beach, fishing and boating activities, as well as luxury accommodation, fine dining, award winning wineries and some of Australia's best golf courses.

Recently declared Australia's fastest growing regional destination, the coastal town of Mandurah has become a vibrant tourist attraction with a multitude of activities and entertainment throughout the year.

The region to the south of Mandarah is the centre of dairy farming activities in Western Australia. Harvey, the main town, contains an agricultural college and the headquarters of both the Harvey Fresh (1986) and Harvey Beef (1919) brand names, and each year in April (previously October) hosts an agricultural show.

How To Get There

Take either Albany Highway south from Perth to Pinjarra or Kwinana Freeway south from Perth to Mandurah.

Best Time To Go

The region has a Mediterranean climate and can visited at all times of the year. Summers can be hot, but are often slightly cooler than Perth because of the southerly aspect.
