Cape York Tag Along Tours
Australia's biggest attraction is its natural beauty and the majority of it can be only accessed by 4WD. Our landscape varies from the lush tropical rainforests of the Daintree to the barren landscapes of the Simpson Desert and Gulf Savannah. It is this sheer vastness that gives Australia so much of its character.
Many Australians dream of beating a path through the bush in a 4-wheel drive vehicle to these remote places, but for a variety of reasons, they never make it. Some don't like the thought of being all alone so far from civilisation and breaking down; some have families to think about and fear they might not cope with the isolation of an outback trek; others feel there is safety in numbers and would love to do a trip with other like-minded adventurers, but don't have anyone to go with them.
If you are any of those people, then a tag-along tour is tailor made for you. As its name implies, participants tag along with similar minded travellers in the comfort and convenience of their own 4WD vehicle. Travelling with them is a guide who has "been there and done that", who has experience in handling the dangers, the twists and turns than one can encounter when travelling in uninhabited territoy. They know how to get to the picturesque and challenging 4WD places that Australia has to offer and take the tag-along tourists exploring the many secluded and isolated areas of outback Australia that few have the opportunity to see.
If you do not have a 4WD vehicle, hire vehicles and camping gear can be arranged through Campers Oz in Cairns.
