Ellenborough Falls
Ellenborough Falls, with a single drop of 200 metres, is the second largest waterfall in the southern hemisphere. The falls have viewing platforms, picnic and barbecue facilities, a food kiosk which operates on weekends, public holidays and school holidays, toilets and a timber stairway to the bottom of the Falls.

Abbotts Falls
The Watagan Mountains has been a state forest for many years, but part of the area has recently been included in the new Watagans National Park. Highlights of the area include Abbotts Falls, Boardhouse Dam, Gap Creek Falls and numerous lookouts.

Moonabung Falls
This 50 metre high falls are located on the Moonabung Ranges which overlook the Hunter Valley. The Moonabung Ranges boast spectacular views from the Pacific Ocean to the Barrington Tops.

Tooloom Falls
Tooloom Falls are located next to Tooloom National park which is located in far north-eastern NSW. The forest mosaic that exists in Tooloom provides critical habitat for a wide range of fauna, with the highest diversity of macropods in Australia recorded here

Protesters Falls
Located in World Heritage Nightcap National Park, Protesters Falls is an easy walk from Terania Creek Picnic Area. The trail winds its way through the bangalow palm forest to the base of the falls. Protesters Falls and Terania Creek is home to the first successful anti logging protest in 1979.

Minyon Falls
Minyon Falls plunges a depth of around 100 metres into a deep palm-shaded gorge below. A rainforest trail leads to the bottom of the falls, walking through subtropical Booyong Rainforest and Brush Box which occupies the gully beneath. The falls are located in the Nightcap National Park.

Murrumbooee Cascades

Dandahra Falls
Five walking trails depart from Mulligans Picnic Area leading to Dandahra Falls, the Barra Nula Cascades, the Atrichornis/Murrumbooee Cascades, Tree Fern Forest and The Needles. The latter are six separate granite outcrops which, according to Aboriginal lore, are six sisters turned to stone by the curse of their pursuer. Boundary Falls and Lyrebird Falls are close by.

Cedar Creek Falls
Washpool National Park is within the Clarence River Basin, the largest catchment on the NSW North Coast. Lush rainforests include the largest area of coachwood trees in the world. Within these ancient pockets of wilderness, deep; in New England granite country, waterfalls plummet from a lacework of streams and wild rivers. Access to these waterfalls is by three major walking trails - Coombadjha Nature Stroll (Duffer Creek Falls; Murrumbooee Cascades; Barra Nulla Cascades), Gibraltar-Washpool World Heritage Walk (Summit Falls; Cedar Creek Falls) and Washpool Walk (Lyrebird Falls).

Tuntable Falls
Tuntable Falls is located in Nightcap National Park. The park has three main sections. Access to the Mount Nardi section, including Tuntable Falls and the Pholis Walk to Pholis Gap, is via sealed road from Nimbin. The Tuntable Falls Community, a Land Cooperative near Nimbin, was established here in 1973. It was one of the first Australian communities set up and has survived when other folded; it is still the largest commune in the area.

Killen Falls
Killen Falls, located just below the Emigrant Creek dam at Fernleigh, is a spectacular waterfall dropping into a large waterhole within a rainforest gully. Ferns and mosses thrive in this moist location, which is a well hidden jewel of Ballina Shire. Behind the waterfall is a large cave occupied by several species of bats.

Problem Creek Falls
The easy 2km walk to Problem Creek Falls begins at
Frying Pan Forest Park alongside the Telegherry River.

Jerusalem Creek Falls
Jerusalem Creek Falls are surrounded by subtropical riverine rainforest within Chichester State Forest. Here, the Allyn River can be investigated along the Allyn River Rainforest Trail.

Polblue Creek Falls
Found by turning left at the road after the Horse Swamp Camping Area access road. It is just a short walk from the parking area to the falls.

Gloucester Falls
Gloucester Falls is an easy 40 minutes walk to the falls, giving good views of the Gloucester River and Gloucester Falls. The walk begins at the Gloucester Falls Carpark and soon arrives at the Andrew Laurie Lookout. The walk continues to the Gloucester Falls Lookout.

Ladies Well
Ladies Well is a series of small waterfalls and pools that provide a great spot for a swim during the hotter months. This area is reached by a very short walk, starting from the car park near Allyn River Camping Area and Dobbie Rim Camping Area.

Dundungra Falls
Located about is the short track to the base of Dundungra Falls on Hotel Creek. The falls are some 34m high. Note that the walk out is both steep and often slippery when wet.

Moppy Falls
A walk through the rainforest commences at Moppy Lookout, proceeding through tree ferns and past the small Moppy Falls. The walk takes about 20 minutes to complete. Moppy Lookout provides good views of the forested valleys of the national park.

Boonoo Boonoo Falls
The main access to these falls is a viewpoint looking over the top of the falls. The bottom of the falls is reached via a steep trail from the roadside viewpoint. The falls consist of four main sections situated over a stretch of about 350 meters of the river, the largest of which drops about 110 meters. The name of the falls, pronounced "Bunna Bunoo" is an aboriginal term meaning Big Rocks. An old gold field, Morgans Gully, can be visited nearby.

Bangalore Falls
The walk to the falls along Jersey Bull Fire Trail The falls are accessed via Bangalore Picnic Area, Corfes Road. Another walk to the falls begins at Bindarray Picnic Area. If you want to see more spectacular stepped falls and you're a keen, fit bushwalker you can follow Bangalore Creek down steep canyons to Urumbilum Falls, one of the most dramatic falls in the area.

Dalwood Falls
The popular Dalwood Falls on Ballina Council land near Alstonville has a natural pool and weir. Swimming is not recommended as depths are unpredictable and there are often submerged rocks that can't be seen by swimmers. Near Alstonville is relatively isolated.

Macintyre Falls
The Kwiambal National Park is located at the junction of the Severn and Macintyre Rivers. The park has an area of around 2600 hectares and features some spectacular waterfalls, steep sided valleys and River Red Gums. The major features in the park are Macintyre Falls and the Limestone Caves. The falls are seasonal.
